The Silent Majority Had Better Speak Up!
by Sam Hellesponte

I do solemnly swear that I will support
and defend the Constitution of the United States against
all enemies, foreign and domestic...
I have taken this oath, as have a great many of our readers.
Whether you have taken the oath
formally or not, as an American citizen you bear the same
responsibilities. Sorry if this may
impinge upon your XBox time, or may require that you engage
in a modicum of critical
thinking. Sorry if you get a brain cramp. You may have to
dig deep and tap into some basic
common sense. It is time to cowboy up and pay attention to
what is happening around you.
The system of society secured for us by the Founding Fathers
has been under significant
pressure since FDR’s New Deal. Now our system is being
eviscerated.
Make no mistake, we have enemies beyond our borders who will
rape, pillage and plunder if
the opportunity presents. Yet the deconstruction of our
security, of our prosperity, is happening
from within.
Our government has declared war on the economic system that
created this nation. Our
government raids the coffers and demands more from the
productive elements of our society,
while redistributing the stolen wealth to their constituents
in a vulgar display of brazen bribery.
According to the IRS, the top 1% of taxpayers ‘contribute’
just about 40% of all income taxes
to the federal government. The top 50% of us pay 97.01% of
all income taxes to the
government. The entire bottom 50% of our society
‘contributes’ a mere 2.99% of income tax
dollars to the treasury.
The re-distributive aspect of current policies is repugnant
to patriotic Americans. The Left
smirks and ridicules when the Right speaks of Socialism,
Tyranny, Communism. But facts are
facts - to take the fruits of labor from one by force and
give these fruits to others is anathema to
our founding principles. Better men and women than we
fought, bled and died to free us from
these shackles.
We honor them these two hundred and more years later by
replacing the shackles to our own
wrists and lying so that our new masters may set their boots
upon our throats without so much
as a whimper. Just give me Government Health Care and treat
me as you will!
The new budget caps deductions for charitable giving. This
will result in less giving by
Americans. Not to worry, however...OMB Director Peter Orszag
said the government will
compensate charities to make up for the lost revenue.
Translation: We, your Government, will take your money and
give it to those charities we
deem deserving, in amounts we deem appropriate. No need to
think for yourself, citizen...
Washington will do it for you.
Don’t like it? Resistance is futile, as they say. Attorney
General Holder recently had this to
say about your Second Amendment: "As President Obama
indicated during the campaign,
there are just a few gun-related changes that we would like
to make, and among them would be
to re-institute the ban on the sale of assault weapons,"
"I think that will have a positive impact in Mexico, at a
minimum." He added.
Our government would like to restrict our unalienable
rights...if for no other reason than to
have some impact on crime in Mexico.
Our new leaders are going forth into the world and engaging
this nations enemies, indeed,
mankind’s enemies, with foolish disregard for common sense.
As the Bush Administration
was overly aggressive and combative in the world, this
Administration is already proving too
conciliatory and naive.
Said Shabtai Shavit, former chief of the Mossad intelligence
agency, in a recent interview with
WorldNetDaily: "My concern is that until Obama finishes his
learning curve of the subject
[Iran], the Iranians are going to have maybe the first or
even more nuclear bombs."
Senator Jim DeMint made it clear that the time had come for
patriotic Americans with common
sense to let their voices be heard.
“Really, I think the hope right now is not in Congress to
make the right decision, cause they're
not," DeMint said. "It's just whether or not the American
people are going to stand up and say
enough is enough.”
"People don't need to look to Washington. It's the people's
government. And the people are
going to have to take it back. They can do it with their
voices and with their votes -- and they
may have to do it with their legs. People are going to have
to show that they're not going to
take it anymore.”
Pat Buchanan has called for the pitchforks.
America is screaming toward the point of no return. We face
existential threats domestically
and from beyond our borders. Our economy is cratering. Our
defenses are being lowered.
Our posture invites aggression.
Now is the time to check your pantry and your powder. Now is
the time to raise your voice...
this nation can not long survive this course.
The Silent Majority must end this silliness, now.
